ULAP's Declaration of support on Hunger Mitigation, Population Management, and Poverty Reduction.
Cognizant that the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) particularly the mitigation of hunger, population management and poverty reduction cannot be achieved if questions on population, reproductive health and poverty alleviation are not squarely addressed; we hereby declare our ardent support and assistance to the ULAP in its hunger mitigation, population management and poverty reduction initiatives and programs;
We express our shared commitment and urge other stakeholders from the National Government Agencies (NGAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), Civil Society Groups (CSG), Private Sector Organizations (PSO) and International Partners (IP) to support the ULAP in its earnest endeavor to actively fight hunger, address rapid population growth and reduction of poverty which will ultimately achieve a balance environment and livable communities through implementation of sustainable innovative initiatives within the framework of effective decentralization and greater local autonomy. We also pledge to allocate, generate and mobilize necessary resources for this purpose.
Towards this end, we hereby affix our signatures to signify our fervent support and profound commitment to this noble cause.
